Lbox Communications - Working for a better, ethical tomorrow
WE ARE PROUD TO BE B CORP CERTIFIED

Harnessing our business power towards driving positive impact for all of our stakeholders.

What is a B Corp?

B Corp is a certification created by B Lab where a business has demonstrated high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Becoming a B Corporation means joining a movement of businesses that are striving towards creating good for all, balancing profit with purpose and enriching the lives of all our employees and stakeholders.

Employees

At Lbox Communications, we recognise that our success is driven by the diversity, dedication and hard work of our team. As such, we are committed to:

  • Paying all of our employees above the London Living Wage.
  • Regularly receiving feedback from our employees - we are proud to have achieved 83% employee job satisfaction in our latest annual staff survey.
  • Giving our employees four paid professional development days a year.
  • Regular social events and community lunches where employees take turns bringing cuisines from their home countries.
  • Encouraging diversity - you can find our DEI policy here.

Workers

Customers

Our aim is to provide our customers with world class service.

  • We design and build easy-to-use solutions that eliminate inefficient, mundane and repetitive tasks.
  • We currently hold a Net Promoter Score of 83 points, which is a survey we send to customers yearly to measure our performance and receive feedback.
  • We took the decision to invest in our staff and infrastructure and significantly extended our 'unaddressed' door-drop area across the South East of England, meaning we keep costs down for our clients and invest more in our staff.
  • We complete over 20,000 jobs every year and are currently working with over 400 clients.

Environment

Every action we take as a company is aimed at building a more environmentally conscious future. We have worked towards this by:

  • Rolling out vehicles with cleaner-burning alternatives, starting with introducing two electric vans into our operations. We want to reduce waste and increase social value wherever we can, which is why we donated one of our replaced vans to First Days Children's Charity.
  • Planting over 98,000 trees so far.
  • Procuring 100% of our energy from renewable sources.
  • Using Premier Paper, who support planting native UK woodland on an ongoing basis through the Woodland Trust's carbon scheme.
  • 75% of our purchases being accredited by social or environmental certifications.
  • Using local suppliers for over 40% of purchases. You can find our supplier policy here.

Community

We are committed to giving back to our community through:

  • Partnering with Richmond Borough Mind as part of our commitment to mental health awareness and wellbeing. We opted for a local charity as we want to have a positive local impact. We are in our second year of partnership and have supported multiple events, including sponsoring and participating in their Mental Elf Fun Run, a Quiz & Curry Night, and some of our braver members even zip-wired across Twickenham Stadium!
  • Our ongoing relationship with Our Kids Foundation, a Bosnian charity supporting vulnerable children and young adults in Mostar. We have been working with Our Kids since their creation in 2010 and are regular sponsors of the fundraising events they hold in London.
  • Giving each of our employees one paid volunteering day a year.
  • Making significant donations to multiple charities over the year.

Our office drinks fridge

We have a sustainable drinks fridge available to our employees. All drinks brands are carefully selected with environmental and ethical practices in mind, and local businesses are prioritised. Jawbone, one of our drinks suppliers, is a local craft brewery located in Twickenham, just 10 minutes away from our offices.

Governance

We are committed to embedding ESG principles into our leadership and decision-making processes.

The average articles of association revolve around profits alone. Since becoming B Corp, we have amended them to consider our impact on all our stakeholders. This will help us hold ourselves accountable and ingrain our promises to all of our stakeholders.

We’ve introduced plants across many sites and areas of the business. This not only goes a small way to lower our carbon output, but creates a more pleasant work environment.
