Balfour Beatty VINCI trusts tellthem™ to keep businesses and households aware of ongoing works

The team at Lbox Communications have helped to streamline how we contact residents and businesses around our projects. We can book a job at any time day or night and know with confidence that it will be out in the post the next day.
Balfour Beatty VINCI Joint Venture

The Background

The M4 smart motorway is an £848m project adding an additional traffic lane and demolishing 11 bridges along the route. To successfully complete the project, our client Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) needed to carry out many activities some of which consist of: piling, road resurfacing, demolishing 11 bridges and creating compounds along the route.

The nature of this work meant it was often carried out overnight and would require the full closure of the motorway in both directions at different stages during the projects.

"The team are always just a phone call away for any urgent queries. The booking platform provides a simple and user-friendly means of sending letters and keeps everything in one place from drawing a map to getting an address count and an instant quote."

The Solution

BBV required a solution to keep residents informed of compounds created in their area, their use and how they would be affected. They also wanted to inform residents and key businesses along the route about full closures to limit the impact on those near the project. As a busy team, the solution needed to be simple and straightforward.

Lbox Communications implemented our Targeted Delivery and Mapping Platform (tellthem™) which allowed BBV to map impacted areas, and obtain instant property counts and quotes before booking their jobs in under 3 minutes. This was combined with 24hr print and delivery so that last-minute requests could be handled as standard.
